If you want to configure your network GPRS, MMS, Wi-Fi and browser
settings on your Samsung Chat GT-S3353 you may follow the how to steps below.
Using internet applications like Opera Mini, UC Browser (UC Web), games and other
apps will needs a correct configuration to access the internet on your Samsung GT-S3353 Ch@t. Continue reading below for steps and procedure on activation of network settings.

How to configure manually Samsung GT-S3353 Chat GPRS, MMS, Wi-Fi and browser settings
- On your phone ‘Menu’ go to ‘Settings’
- Select ‘Network’
- On Network, select ‘Connections’
- You will be prompted by ‘The menu manages connection profile. Incorrect configuration will prevent online connection.’ message, just click ‘Yes’ to Continue.
- On ‘Connections’ you can see all the list of Access points including Wi-Fi hotspots you connected.
- Example: myGlobe Connect, myGlobe MMS, myGlobe Inet, Smart Internet, Sun GPRS, Smart MMS and FreePublic Wifi etc.
- You can select which access point you want to edit manually, just point and click ‘Options’ then ‘Edit’
- If you want to create new access point for your network you can do it manually with your Samsung GT-S3353 Chat, just click ‘Options’ then select ‘Create’
How to create manual Access point, input the correct network details of your network.
Set name:
Ex. myGlobe Connect, myGlobe MMS, myGlobe Inet, Smart Internet,
Sun GPRS, Smart MMS or any name
Home URL:
Ex. m.globe.com.ph, m.smart.com.ph
Bearer:
Select ‘GPRS’
Proxy:
Select ‘ON’
Address:
Ex. 10.102.61.46, 202.138.159.78,
203.177.91.131
Port:
Ex. 8080,
80 or no port
Linger time (sec):
Ex. 90, or leave default value
DNS:
Select OFF, to be safe in testing this configuration
DNS 1:
DNS 2:
Access name:
Ex. http.globe.com.ph, internet, mms, mms.globe.com.ph, wap
User ID:
(leave empty or you may input user ID if given on your network)
Password:
(leave empty or you may input password if given on your network)
That’s it you already manage to create access point manually and
locate the network settings of your Samsung GT-S3353 Chat.

Note: Network settings is pre configured once yo use your provider sim card, steps below is applicable if you want to configure if manually.

Next is how to set the default connection of your applications (Opera Mini, UC Web etc) to connect to the internet.
On your phone ‘Menu’ go to ‘Applications’
Select ‘Games and more’ locate the applications (Opera Mini, UC
Web etc) you want to set to connect on a certain access point.
Once you already selected the application, go to ‘Options’ then ‘Advanced’
select ‘Connections’
Select which access point you wish to connect with your applications
(Opera Mini, UC Web etc)
Ex. myGlobe Connect, myGlobe MMS, myGlobe Inet, Smart Internet,
Sun GPRS, Smart MMS or your manually configured access point.
Click ‘Set’ then start the application. (It will automatically
connect to the access point you set earlier)
That’s it, you can now connect your apps to the internet with your
selected access point.
Next is how to connect to the internet using your Samsung GT-S3353 Chat default browser.
On your phone ‘Menu’ go to ‘Internet’
Click on ‘Options’ then 'Settings' select ‘Internet profiles’
On ‘Internet profiles’ select which access point you want to
connect with your default browser.
Ex. myGlobe Connect, myGlobe MMS, myGlobe Inet, Smart Internet,
Sun GPRS, Smart MMS or your manually configured access point.
Next is how to connect to the internet using Wi-Fi of your Samsung GT-S3353 Chat.
On your phone ‘Menu’ go to ‘Applications’
Select ‘Wi-Fi’ then turn Wi-Fi on by pressing ‘Wi-Fi on’
Once Wi-Fi is turned on it will automatically displays all available
Wi-Fi hotspot.
Select which one you wish to connect, if it’s free or open Wi-Fi
you can connect automatically and if not input the Wi-Fi password to connect.
Once connected, you can now go to your default browser and enjoy
surfing!
To disconnect to a Wi-Fi just select the Wi-Fi name then press ‘Disconnect’
