Activate your Sun Cellular GPRS, 3G and MMS settings by following the steps on how to configure your handset settings.
This enables you to use mobile internet and other multimedia services offered by the Sun Cellular network using your phone. This may help you in troubleshooting your handset in case you are having problem in connecting to the internet.
This works on any device as long as you know how to configure the settings on your phone and input the correct APN details. There are three options you can do for you to set up your APN, first is via OTA settings push configuration, the second is through manual process where you need to create and input of access details. The last one is via Sun Cellular website configuration guide.
Sun Cellular now offers LTE SIM card to their prepaid subscribers for only 35 pesos so you can ejnoy faster mobile internet speed.
How to Activate your SUN GPRS APN settings
1. Via SMS
Just type SETTINGS then send it to 2300
and type ACTIVATE then send to 2300
or type NET send to 2300
Configuration settings will automatically sent to your handset. Once you received the settings, use 1234 when asked for a password.
2. Manual configuration
Setting up APN settings using Sun Cellular prepaid SIM card manually can be done by going to your phone network settings.
If you're using Android, go to Settings - Wireless and Networks / More - Mobile Networks and open Access point names. If you already have the default APN listed, you can select the right one, but if not, create a new Access Point by clicking + sign or option menu. Input the Sun APN details below on their respective fields.
For iPhone or iOS users, go to Settings - General - Network - Cellular Data and input the same APN details provided below.
Sun INTERNET APN Settings:
Connection Name: Sun INTERNET
SunGPRS APN Settings:
Connection Name: Sun GPRS
Sun MMS APN Settings:
Connection Name: Sun MMS
For Android phone and tablet, don't forget to use 515 MCC and 05 for MNC.
