You already know how access Globe GAN4PT modem/router using the default admin account username and password. In this post, we are going to teach you how to change your out of the box WiFi name and password. This is to protect and secure your Wi-Fi network from unwanted internet access and hacks, which we don’t know when to happen.

Globe GAN4PT WiFi Name and Password 

Changing the Wi-Fi password is one of the basics when you have an internet connection at home. This help you control back the access to your network when you feel like someone is using your internet without your permission. For you to do that, just follow the steps providing below.
Steps to change Globe GAN4PT WiFi Name and Password
  1. Connect to your WiFi network.
  2. Open your browser and type 192.168.254.254 in the URL address bar then hit Enter.
  3. Click on Setup, the type in the admin account credentials. (Username: admin and Password: ) 
  4. Click Login to enter the router’s admin GUI.
  5. Go to Interface setup tab, then select Wireless from the sub menu.
  6. Scroll down and lock for Multiple SSIDs Settings or directly look at SSID field.
  7. Change the Wi-Fi name if you wish to have a new one.
  8. Disable or select ‘No’ in Use WPS radio button.
  9. Use WPS2-PSK in Authentication type.
  10. Tick Hide on ‘Hide Password’ option.
  11. In WPA2-PSK, use AES or TKIP/AES in ‘Encryption’ field.
  12. In Pre-shared key, this is where you can find your current Wi-Fi password. You can tick show, to know your current password in case it is hidden. To change, just erase the current and input your new desired password.
  13. Click Save to apply changes made.
That is it.
Note: Take note of your newly created Wi-Fi password so you can reconnect to your network.
