Manila City, Philippines, 24 March 2026 - Honor of Kings, the world’s most-played MOBA, hosted a Festival of Lanterns gathering at Eastwood Central Plaza, Quezon City last Saturday to celebrate the festive season and show its appreciation to the local community’s ongoing creativity and vibrant energy, and encouraged both players and creators to keep working together to shape and grow the community.
Honor of Kings Welcomes Oheb and Celebrates Festival of Lanterns
The event was led by well-known Philippine esports personalities Ingan and Butters, who opened the program by making their way around the Festival of Lanterns activity booths and interacting with fans. The excitement continued with one of the day’s main highlights, the PKL Watch Party, while mini stage games in between kept the crowd entertained. Guests also got the opportunity to take home prizes, including exclusive title cards.
The event also showcased several exciting on-site activities, including the symbolic “lighting of the stars” together with one of four featured content creators: KCbae, Abdul & Marshy, Ian Tayao, and Chano.
Another major highlight was the much-awaited reveal of the mysterious “Mr. 1,” who turned out to be popular esports personalities VeeWise. The reveal was tied to a treasure hunt that players had taken part in over the previous weeks, making the moment even more memorable. It was further elevated by a storyline inspired by darkness and the Festival of Lanterns, reflecting themes of hope, togetherness, and community.
The event closed on a high note with the reveal that pro player Oheb is now officially part of the Honor of Kings family, a major announcement that quickly caught the attention of the Philippine mobile esports scene.
Known to many fans as the “Filipino Sniper,” Oheb has earned his place among the region’s standout Marksman players. His career in mobile MOBA esports includes competing on some of the biggest international stages and building a reputation for precision, consistency, and clutch performances.
