 Here’s the solutions to DITO SIM card prompting “You have entered an inactive number”. If you’re new to DITO network or just purchase a new SIM card from your nearest load retailer, you expecting it work the normal way right after you insert it to your smartphone. This is not the case anymore right after the SIM card registration Act in the Philippines takes effect.

If you request for an OTP to sign via SMS and right after you input it, you receive a “You have entered an inactive number”. To fix this error, you just need to register your new DITO SIM card by following the steps below.

1. Open the DITO app 
2. Click the “REGISTER HERE” banner.
3. In the DITO SIM Card Registration page, fill in Customer Information (Identity Type, Mobile Number, First Name, Middle Name, Surname, Date of Birth, House Number, Street, Province, City, and Barangay, and Zip Code).
4. Under Identification Card (Image, jpg, pdf), attach (1) one valid government ID. (Browse it on your phone Gallery)
5. Under User Photo (Image), upload your selfie photo holding the valid ID. (Browse it on your phone Gallery).
6. Tap the “GET OTP” button right after the Mobile Number Verification to receive the One-Time Password.
7. Input the OTP number then scroll down and tick the boxes declaring the information entered are true and correct, as well as the DITO’s Data Privacy Statement.
8. Click the “SUBMIT” button to activate your new DITO SIM and to complete the registration process.
