 Globe SurfAlert is a browsing protection service that helps Globe/TM prepaid and postpaid subscribers be protected from unexpected browsing charges. This is very useful when you forgot to turn off your mobile data and you have a regular load on your account. By simply turning on this feature, you are automatically worry-free from unwanted load deductions.

Turn ON and OFF SurfAlert

When this service is active Globe will not charge your account with P2/MB regular browsing rate. The SurfAlert will kick in and prevent you from connecting to the Internet and remind you via notifications to subscribe to any of their internet promos.

Turn ON SurfAlert *143#

  1. Dial *143# using your Globe phone
  2. Select the option for “MyAccount.”
  3. Select “SurfAlert”
  4. Select “Turn ON mobile internet alerts”
  5. Select the option to “Get text alerts every time you start a chargeable internet session and you're not on a surf promo”.

Wait for the SMS notification from Globe that says “Your SurfAlert has been activated!”

Via SMS

  • Just text SURFALERT ON then send to 8080.
Update: This feature is now automatically activated on both Globe/TM prepaid and postpaid, Globe at Home and MyFi subscribers.

In case you want to turn off your SurfAlert or you want to troubleshoot your mobile internet connection, you can follow the steps below to temporarily disable or totally turn off the service. 

  • Just text SURFALERT OFF then send to 8080.

Wait for the SMS text from Globe that says “Your SurfAlert has beed deactivated. You may now continue surfing at the regular browsing rate of P1/15 minutes and you will no longer receive free occasional alerts.”

You can also temporarily disable your SURFALERT until 12 midnight by texting SURFALERT HOLD then sent to 8080. For other information regarding this service, you can text SURFALERT HELP then send to 8080.

How to check SurfAlert Status

If you want to know or check the status of your SURFALERT service, just follow the steps below.

  1. Dial *143# using your Globe/TM phone
  2. Select the option for “MyAccount”.
  3. Select “SurfAlert”
  4. Select the option for “Check Status”
  5. Select the option to “Check SurfAlert status”

You will receive an SMS that says the status of SurfAlert is currently switched ON or OFF.
