Starmobile seems so serious on competing with other local brands here in Philippines. On their recent event, they announced line-up of devices for 2013 that includes tablets and smartphones. This time we’ll talk one of the handset listed and announced during the Starmobile event.

After the success of Starmobile Diamond, here comes an upgraded version of that model which is dubbed as Starmobile Diamond V7. This V7 now runs on Jelly bean 4.2 and geared up with a quad core 1.2 GHz processor. Another interesting feature on this device is the added camera pixels, it takes a huge jump on its camera from Diamond’s 12 megapixels to V7‘s 18 megapixels on rear and 8 MP on front.

Starmobile Diamond V7 Price: waiting for update

Seeing the Starmobile Diamond V7 specifications, the device looks already resemble as phablet. Holding a 5.7 inch handset may excess on your palm with that wide screen size, numbers and keypad also are quite large that gives ease on typing for those who has fat fingers.

Added features on the display side of Starmobile Diamond V7 are HD display and the Dragontrail Glass. The 720x1280 screen resolution helps add more goodness on its display at 257 pixel density and the scratch resistant feature also takes care of this device from slight bumps and scratch.

The features that wowed us is the 18 megapixels rear camera and 8 megapixels front, we haven’t tried how 18MP captures photos in both outdoor and low light shots but specs above I think may gives you a little idea of what its capable plus the AF, LED Flash and BSI sensor.

More punch to add on Starmobile Diamond V7 is the 1.2 GHz quad core processor from Mediatek with PowerVR SGX544MP GPU that acts together to render fast response and less lag on multi-tasking usage. It’s powered up 2600mAh battery I think is enough to last for a day for a phablet device with HD display.

This is another device for Starmobile you will surely like, will just wait for the review and feedbacks on this device from our fellow tech bloggers.
