President Benigno Aquino III has issued Proclamation 459 listing all Philippines regular holidays, special non-working holidays and special holiday for all schools for the year 2013. The Proclamation 459 was released previously which I have not managed to post this information right after the proclamation date.  I am posting this for the reference and information to all our fellow Filipinos in Philippines.

List of Regular Holidays for 2013


New Year’s Day - January 1, 2013
Maundy Thursday - March 28, 2013
Good Friday - March 29, 2013 
Araw ng Kagitingan (Fall of Bataan) - April 9, 2013 
Labor Day - May 1, 2013 
Araw ng Kalayaan (Independence Day) - June 12, 2013
National Heroes Day - August 26, 2013 
Bonifacio Day - November 30, 2013 
Christmas Day - December 25, 2013
Rizal Day - December 30, 2013

Special non-working holidays for 2013:

Black Saturday - March 30, 2013 
Ninoy Aquino Day - August 21, 2013
All Saints’ Day - November 1, 2013

Additional special non-working days:

November 2, 2013
December 24, 2013
Last Day of the Year - December 31, 2013

Special Holiday (for all schools)

EDSA People Power Anniversary (for schools only) - February 25, 2013

Two holidays to be declare later of 2013 in connection with the observance of Eid’l Fitr and Eid’l Adha. The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) shall inform the Office of the President on which day the holiday shall fall based on the Islamic Calendar (Hjra). Read full article here.
